The Keep Recording Studio Identity
Logos
Designed a bold, versatile identity for a Denver recording studio—vinyl warmth meets architectural strength for real-world brand use.
Case study
Role: Brand identity design
Client: The Keep Recording Studio — Denver, CO
The challenge
The studio needed an iconic mark that felt analog and musical, but also strong enough for signage, merch, and digital presence. The name “The Keep” invited a protection/preservation metaphor without looking gimmicky.
What I did
- Combined a vinyl-record motif with a minimal castle keep at the center—music + preservation in one symbol.
- Integrated bold typography into the architecture of the mark for a commanding wordmark presence.
- Used high-contrast black-and-white treatment for premium feel and maximum application versatility.
- Designed for multi-channel use: studio branding, albums, merch, and web.
Outcome
A distinctive local studio brand that balances vintage warmth with contemporary edge—memorable and production-ready.
Skills demonstrated: Conceptual branding, logo systems, typography integration, brand storytelling, asset versatility.
